Game development & operations

From game development to official websites and post-launch operations

Game development & operations overview

Under our own brand, RG Games, we have planned and developed the smartphone game SNAP POP, and we run it ourselves. We have also built official websites for game companies, and we develop and run Rally, a live quiz for events.

We are not a game studio that turns out large numbers of big titles. We help with games and everything around them: developing games you want to start small, official websites, systems for events, and more. We handle the whole process, from consultation and development to operations after launch.

Because we work in Japanese, English, and Korean, you can also talk to us about official websites for players overseas and event experiences people can join in several languages.

Sound familiar?

  • You want to try making a small game but don't know who to ask
  • You want to launch a teaser site before release, then switch to the official website at launch
  • You want your official website in Japanese and English without doubling the update workload
  • You want to update news and event information in-house instead of asking an agency every time
  • You want an activity at fan events that attendees can join from their smartphones
  • You have no one to keep handling server management and small fixes after launch

What we offer

01

Smartphone game planning and development

We support you from working out the game mechanics and screen flow, through development, to preparing for release on the App Store and Google Play. Drawing on our experience planning, developing, and running SNAP POP, we help you sort out what to polish now and what can wait.

We're also happy to help at the stage where you just want to build something small and see how players respond.

02

Official and teaser websites

We build official game websites and pre-launch teaser sites. We handle the switch from teaser to full launch, as well as making the site bilingual in Japanese and English. We also prepare everything needed for launch, such as a contact form and pages with legally required notices.

Building on WordPress lets your team update news and event information in-house. We set up the servers on AWS or another cloud.

03

Interactive experiences for events and communities

We develop web-based experiences that let participants join on the spot from their smartphones at fan events, livestreams, venue activities, and more.

With Rally, our own product, guests join from a QR code with no app, and answers are tallied on the spot so rankings can be announced. Building on this, we propose quizzes, polls, and other formats tailored to your event.

04

Operations and maintenance after launch

Games and official websites keep needing updates after launch. Under a monthly maintenance and operations contract, we keep handling bug fixes, OS update support, server management, help with news updates, and more.

You can also talk to us about operating sites and systems built by other companies; we review how they're built first.

05

Multilingual rollout

We work in Japanese, English, and Korean. When preparing official websites or in-game text in several languages, we build them into the screens while checking differences in text length and writing conventions for each language.

Rally supports five languages — Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese — and we bring our experience of running a multilingual service ourselves to the sites and games we build.

/ Why RG

Why work with RG

01

We run a game of our own

We handle SNAP POP, from our own brand RG Games, ourselves — from planning and development to release and operations. Our proposals don't end at the build; they take into account updates and player support after launch.

02

We've built official websites for game companies

In 2024, we built official websites for two game companies. We were responsible for Japanese and English support, building the sites on WordPress, setting them up on AWS, and the switch from teaser site to full launch.

03

We run a real-time interactive service ourselves

We officially launched Rally, a live quiz for events, in September 2026. We develop and run, in-house, a system where participants answer on the spot and results are tallied and announced right away.

04

Games and web together, with the same person

RG is a software development company. You can bring us the game itself, the official website, event systems, and servers together. The person who takes your inquiry goes on to handle design and development, so nothing gets lost in hand-offs.

/ Process

How we work

  1. STEP 01

    Free consultation

We ask about the game or official website you have in mind and when you'd like to launch. You don't need a design document — you can talk to us at the idea stage.

  2. STEP 02

    Planning & requirements

We work out the gameplay flow and screens, the pages the site needs, and the schedule from teaser site to full launch, and define the scope of work.

  3. STEP 03

    Proposal & estimate

Based on that, we propose an approach, an estimated timeline, and costs. You choose the contract type that fits: a fixed-price contract, a monthly maintenance and operations contract, or technical advisory.

  4. STEP 04

    Development & production

We move forward as you review working screens and pages along the way, adjusting anything you'd like changed as we go.

  5. STEP 05

    Launch & operations

We prepare the store release or carry out the site's full launch. After launch, we keep handling updates and changes under a monthly maintenance and operations contract.

/ FAQ

FAQ

Can we hire you to develop a large-scale game?

We're not a large game studio, so we'll ask about the scope and scale of your project and tell you frankly, at the start, what we can take on. Games you want to build small and test, and development around games such as official websites and event systems, are areas where we're especially easy to work with.

Can we ask you to build only an official website or a teaser site?

Yes. We take on requests for just a teaser site, or just the official website for launch. It's no problem if another company is developing the game itself.

Can we update news on the official website ourselves?

If the site is built on WordPress, you can update news and event information from the admin panel. We'll also show you how to make updates.

Can you build sites in English or Korean?

Yes. The official websites we built for game companies support Japanese and English. You can also talk to us about setups that include Korean.

Can we use Rally at our event, or have you build something similar?

Rally is a service we offer for weddings, after-parties, and similar events. If you need something tailored to a game event or similar occasion, we'll propose custom development based on our experience developing and running Rally. Start by telling us about your event.

Can we hire you only to operate a game or site another company built?

We review how it's built, the technologies used, and the state of the servers, then decide whether we can take it on. If the review shows that rebuilding would be the better route, we'll tell you so.

How much will it cost?

It varies greatly with the content of the game and the scale of the site, so we provide an estimate after hearing about your project. Consultations and estimates are free.

Tell us what you're working on.

You don't need a finished spec. Tell us about the problem you're facing, and we'll propose an approach and a rough estimate. Consultations and estimates are free, and we usually reply within one business day.
