Enhancing a web app that connects with the client's own products

Background

A web app offered by a manufacturer needs to present the data it pulls from the manufacturer's products in a way users can easily understand.

When enhancing a web app that is already in use, changes have to be made with a solid understanding of how it works, so that existing features and users are not affected.

What we did

As a member of the client's development team, RG took part in enhancing the web app that connects with the client's products. After working through the existing code and specifications, we carried out the changes within our assigned scope, in line with the team's policies.

Result

We joined in 2023 and worked on enhancements to the web app. The experience of understanding an existing system before changing it has since informed our maintenance and enhancement work.
