0. Relationship with Apple’s Standard EULA

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store on iOS or iPadOS, your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement, and do not replace, the Apple Standard EULA. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA on iOS or iPadOS, the Apple Standard EULA controls to the extent of that conflict; otherwise these Terms apply in full and govern matters not covered by the Apple Standard EULA — including connections to the SSH servers you choose, the free-tier limits and Pro subscription terms set out below, on-device data handling, and any use of the App on Android.

These Terms govern your use of the RemoteGate application (“the App”) published by RareGleam Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. The service

The App is an SSH client for iOS, iPadOS and Android. It lets you connect to SSH servers that you operate or are authorised to access, using passwords, PEM-imported keys, or device-bound keys generated inside the OS secure hardware. RemoteGate does not host servers; it only reaches the servers you configure.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only:

• to connect to systems you own or are authorised to access;
• in compliance with applicable law and the rules of the systems you connect to;
• without circumventing the App’s security features (host-key pinning, secure-storage boundary).

You will not use the App to attack, scan or interfere with systems you are not authorised to access.

3. Free tier and Pro subscription

The App is free to use within the following limits:

• Up to 5 SSH connections per day (counter resets at 00:00 UTC).
• Up to 2 saved hosts.

RemoteGate Pro lifts both limits. It is sold through the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) as the following products:

• RemoteGate Pro Monthly — auto-renewable subscription. Subscription length: 1 month. Reference price: US$3 per month (or the local-currency equivalent shown by the store).
• RemoteGate Pro Yearly — auto-renewable subscription. Subscription length: 1 year. Reference price: US$30 per year (or the local-currency equivalent shown by the store).
• RemoteGate Pro Lifetime — one-time non-consumable purchase. Reference price: US$50 (or the local-currency equivalent shown by the store).

3.1 Billing

Reference prices above are denominated in US dollars. Apple and Google automatically convert that price to your store account’s local currency, and the converted amount is what is taken at confirmation of purchase. The price shown on the in-app paywall reflects the store-returned local amount and is the authoritative price for your transaction.

3.2 Auto-renewal

Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period’s end. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings; uninstalling the App alone does not cancel a subscription.

3.3 Lifetime

The Lifetime product is a one-time purchase of the current Pro feature set on the platform of purchase. It does not expire and is not refundable beyond the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

3.4 Refunds

All refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. RareGleam cannot directly refund a store purchase.

3.5 Price and plan changes

We may change subscription prices, free-tier limits, or the feature set going forward. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated through the App or the store before they take effect, and you may cancel before they apply.

4. Your content and credentials

You are solely responsible for the SSH hosts, credentials, and commands you enter. RemoteGate does not see, transmit to RareGleam, or back up any of that data — it stays on your device or goes directly to the server you connect to. If you lose your device or uninstall the App, your saved hosts and keys are gone; we cannot recover them.

5. Disclaimers

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service: connectivity depends on your network and on the SSH servers you reach.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RareGleam Co., Ltd. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends, but on-device data remains until you uninstall the App, and an auto-renewable subscription remains active until the end of the paid period unless cancelled through Apple or Google.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where practical, surfaced in the App. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall be brought before the Tokyo District Court as the exclusive court of first instance, except where mandatory consumer- protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
